ABOUT

OUR VISION

Latin Art Archive (LAA) is an independent platform dedicated to strengthening the presence of Latin art within the global cultural field. Emerging from the historic connections between Africa, Europe, and Latin America, our work examines how exchanges of language, migration, and knowledge shaped the Latin world and continue to inform artistic practice today.

LAA operates both as an archive and a production structure. On one side, we research and support the preservation of artistic materials across visual art, music, performance, and design. On the other, we develop exhibitions, performances, residencies, and publications that activate these materials in the present. This dual approach allows us to support artists while testing new cultural and economic models.

We understand “Latin” not as a fixed identity but as a space of intersections: Indigenous traditions, African legacies, Iberian histories, and contemporary diasporas. By framing it this way, our programs connect local contexts with international audiences, creating opportunities for new dialogues.

Our focus is on building the conditions that allow Latin art to be researched, presented, and sustained, ensuring its continuity within global cultural and economic networks.
